WOW 3-4
My WOW this week is my writing. I did this well because I used desciptive language all
through the story. It is only the first paragraph.
Mum and my sister were talking so I wanted to go outside and play on the trampoline.Whenever I go to Mums house she just talks and talks. It gets very aggravating. Before going on the trampoline, I set myself to go talk to my mother. As I waited to speak, a sudden yawn dropped out of my mouth. Mums voice was really getting on my nerves so I finally decided to go and jump about on the tramp.
WOW week 1-2
My WOW this week is my reading work. I think I have done well because I have come up with 2 thing that describe the main character, Jack.
This is what I described Jack as;
*Independent- He always hides in shadows and would rather be by himself and do things by himself where no-one else would go.
*Easily grossed out- When he saw the dead body, he suddenly vomited and was really ‘repelled’ when he saw the bodies washed ashore.
What I think I should improve on next time is to descibe it abit more and chose another reason to tell the reader about Jack.
WOW – Term 2 week 7-8
I chose my writing for my work of the week . Here is the first paragraph:
The warmth from the sun was like one-thousand beams of light shining onto my skin. I couldn’t quite tell if I were going tan or cherry red. Well what can I say? Summer is as hot as and oven on fire. As I lay in the cooked, black sand, a slight tingle on my feet crawled up to my back slowly. My mind wasn’t really paying attention to it as I was relaxing. As I arose from the ground, the laughs of people switched on my ears, realising they were laughing at me. ‘Water had gone up my back to my pants looking like I had wet myself!
WOW 3-4
My WOW this week is my spelling because in my notebook I had no mistakes and got 18/20 for my test. I think I did very well.
WOW 4 – Maths
What I am learning to do: I am learning to change the order of numbers to make muliplication easier.
9×5= to 5×9=45 4×9= to 9×4=36 8×4= to 4×8=32
9×6= to 6×9=54 7×5= to 5×7=35 9×3 to 3×9=27
That is some of the maths work I am doing .
WOW- week 1 & 2
I think my maths is very interesting because it was very hard and i got 8/8.
Eg: 16×168=
2x2x2x2=16 2×168=336 = 2×336=672 =2×672=1344 =2×1344=2688 ANSWER: 2688
Brussel sprouts and snails’ snouts
5 senses writing
Ohno! it’s really happening. just block your your ears and everything is going to be ok. No, I can’t, but im going to have to try. Just….purch…..lips….and……….YUCK!!! That zesty, bitter taste taste of brussel sprouts always has me flipping of the wall. “Mum, I don’t know how you expect me to eat this foul food. It looks like a pig just sneezed out it’t morning breakfast on here”. “Oh don’t be so rediculous.” Thats the reply everytime we have brussels sprouts for dinner. “Finished!” That cold, wet felling of my plate chilled my hand as I held it firmly. As I was collecting everybody’s plates, there was silence. The bitter feeling of silence.
-Rubbish day-
“Yuck!” I told myself with that awful smell of rotten garbage running in and out of my nose. I thought I could taste it. It looked as if a dog just dropped a load of his litter there and then ran away. “Mum, you clean it up!” I yelled to her from the garage. “NO”, she screamed back slowly. As I picked it up my, hands were squishing around the rubbish bag that my cat went through. A rustle ran through my ears. “DISGUSTING. A RAT!!!!!”
WOW- week 5&6
